![]() ![]() I was diagnosed with terminal Stage IV Melanoma cancer more than thirty years ago, and rather than accept it as a death sentence, I chose to fight it - and I won. In a nutshell can you share a story about what brought you to this particular career path? As the visionary founder of Uni Key Health Systems and Templeton Wellness Foundation, James has since utilized his wisdom and experience to helping others achieve optimum health and wellness. He has chronicled that journey in the upcoming book, I Used to Have Cancer: How I Found My Own Way Back to Health (SquareOne Publishers/ April 22, 2019). James Templeton is a 30-year cancer survivor who healed himself from a terminal diagnosis with the use of alternative medicine and healing modalities. ![]() I had the pleasure of interviewing James Templeton. Changing the focus of the book actually changed the course of my life, for the better. The publisher’s plan shifted my focus so I’m able to get my story out and continue to educate and inspire hope through my Templeton Wellness Foundation. But, I originally envisioned it as only a small part memoir and the rest would be teaching others what I did to get well. My strength is as a storyteller, so my book is basically a memoir, which also highlights important lessons I learned along the way. Come into the process with a general idea of what you want the book to be, but be open to what the publisher knows makes a successful book. ![]() ![]() ![]() When the neighboring martial arts retreat is canceled and a few of its attendees join their small writing community, Ava, now going by "Aria," meets "Dutch," a man who seems too good to be true. The great thing was, from there we could go straight to layout. We would storyboard with Storyboard Pro from Toon Boom. Everything from storyboarding through to ink and paint was all based on the Toon Boom pipeline. The other extremely important part of it was Toon Boom – the whole pipeline is built around Toon Boom Harmony. The Dalmau family are fictional characters, but Neruda really does help Spaniards escape the cruelties of Franco by outfitting an old steamer to hold 2000 refugees. It is an epic story of the Dalmau family who survived the Spanish Civil War (barely) and thanks to the effort of Pablo Neruda were able to immigrate to Chile. Allende’s historical novel begins in Spain during it’s horrendous civil war in the 1930s’s and ends in Chile in 1994. No wonder it’s so beautiful! While the descriptions of the gruelling training regime he is put through - and the eventual, violent encounters with the aliens - are fairly standard fare for science fiction, the effects of these events are treated in much more detail. The novel is set in what was then the future time of 1997 (it was first published in 1974), and follows physics student William Mandela, who is conscripted into an interplanetary military force in order to fight a coming war with an alien race.
